29 November 1732 Earthquake in the Kingdom of Naples

It was the so called Irpinia earthquake, occured at 8:40 AM in the regions of Irpinia and Sannio. The seizmic event with a magnitude of 6.6 caused severe damages. The number of deaths was estimated to be 1,940.
